EDM Series Motorized Waist-High Turnstile
The EDM is the motorized member of Alvarado's waist-high family. Instead of the user pushing the arms, a motor drives the rotation — the result is smoother, quieter operation and a more premium feel at the entrance. For high-traffic lobbies, that difference adds up over thousands of passages a day.
Like every Alvarado waist-high, it's built for continuous duty: the mechanism self-centers after each passage, and the cabinet can be field-configured for one-way or two-way operation as the facility's needs change. Anchoring hardware is hidden, so there are no exposed bolts to collect dirt or tampering.
We install EDMs in office buildings, recreation centers, and transit-adjacent facilities where the classic tripod turnstile is the right answer but the client wants it to feel a step up from the mechanical units of the past.
